Music Camp

2010

13th, 14th & 15th August

What is ‘Music Camp’?

Our camp is an opportunity for musicians from many different schools to participate in 3 days of music making . Students will participate in a large band as well as receiving specialist tutorials . There are a number of other music and non music related activities throughout.

Music Camps are a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow musicians of similar ability & are a great opportunity to make new friends who share a love of music.

Two Bands at Camp

We will be catering for 2 bands this year, Primary and High school. These will be predominately running separately and have separate tutorials. Some new Yr7 & 8 students may choose to join the primary band to get a firm grip on the basics of playing music. Please inform us if this is the case.

All students will be involved in a second ensemble. Please ensure your choice is on registration form.

2nd ensemble choices:

- Jazz Band
- Taiko Drumming
- Sax Ensemble
- Clarinet ensemble
- Brass ensemble
- Flute ensemble
- Percussion ensemble
- Orff classes / body percussion

Staff

All staff are professional music educators dedicated to giving all students the most possible out of their time at camp.

We have specialists for all instruments and will always be available for questions and help.

We will have two professional conductors making band time as fun as possible whilst ensuring both bands reach their maximum potential.
